Focus Center was developed to bring psychology and cardiopulmonary interventions into more in-depth working process to gain better quality of life for people with medical fragile and mental health issues relating to anxiety, stress, depression, anger, and attention problems.
The cardiopulmonary portion involves teaching and training utilizing respiratory biofeedback. During the respiratory biofeedback session, a respiratory therapist monitors respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation (SaO2), carbon dioxide (Co2) during the biofeedback session relating to medical and/or psychological issues to help with proper breathing and learn relaxation techniques to alleviate anxiety and other stress-related problems.
To continue with patient’s retention and engagement to treatment, Focus Center adheres to their mission of emotional wellness by providing accessibility to individual therapy sessions, case management services, and cognitive rehabilitation intervention training.
For Medical Provider referrals, Focus Center will provide detailed respiratory reports and graphics on the patient’s progress throughout the respiratory biofeedback training sessions. For individuals who need psychological and case management services, appointments will be arranged with our Psychologists and Case Manager respectively.
